Lyndale is a charming double fronted period house in the heart of the historic fishing port of Newlyn, near Penzance, Cornwall.

Set at the top of Orchard Lane, the house was once the Manor Farm and benefits from having a large private walled garden, a remnant from this time. A period house with high ceilings and spacious rooms, the original features have been left intact, beamed ceilings, large sash windows, open fireplaces providing a great deal of character. Two sitting rooms make this ideal accommodation for two small families to share, or for those who require plenty of space.

The rooms offer plenty of comfortable space to enjoy all your holiday activities.
The sitting room with open fireplace has two large sofas and TV/video/stereo.
The reception room has a table and chairs to seat 6 and seating area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary self catering equipment, including dishwasher and has a large wooden table and chairs to seat 8.
Views from the half stable door down Orchard Lane really encapsulate the essence of this quaint but thriving port.
Upstairs...
The bedrooms are light and spacious with views over the garden and down the picturesque street of Orchard Lane.

The garden...

The garden has recently been redesigned and landscaped providing a modern layout enclosed by traditional Cornish planting and the original walls of the property. With table and chairs an arbour and further bench there are plenty of places to sit out.

The garden is not overlooked.

The outhouse / studio

The outhouse / studio provides a studio space for those on painting holidays. There is plenty of room for surfboards, wet wellies and equipment. Complete with washer, tumble drier and second toilet.

Lyndale is ideally situated for a wide range of activities and visits.

Newlyn itself remains home to the largest fishing port south of Scotland, the industry is it's livelyhood and has been for hundreds of years. It was the source of inspiration for the famous Newlyn School of Artist, who made it their home.

With it's feet firmly in the 21st Century, Newlyn now boasts cafes and galleries, three to rival the Newlyn Gallery, restaurants, boutiques and of course pubs a-plenty!

  • Visit the famous pilchard works and museum.
  • Take the "Newlyn Trail" around the village.
  • Eat the freshest fish from a selection of shops.
  • View the eclectic range of art galleries. Newlyn Gallery, Penwith Gallery, The Tate St. Ives and many others.

A mile away is the famous town of Penzance with the backdrop of Mounts Bay.
St. Michael's Mount glistens in the distance, with the Scilly Isles just a boat or helicopter ride away. Shop til you drop... try the famous Chapel Street and then relax in one of the towns many cafes and bars.
